<p><strong>“Fair Tide Thrift Store announces Second Annual Prom Dress Revival”</strong></p>
<p>Kittery, Maine—February 1, 2012—On Saturday, March 17th, The Fair Tide Thrift Store will host its Second Annual Prom Dress Revival from 11am to 5 pm.</p>
<p>Hoping to build on the success of last year’s inaugural event, which attracted several sponsors and vendors, Fair Tide’s Barbara McGaughey said the purpose behind the event is &#8220;to provide girls with affordable and beautiful prom dresses.”</p>
<p>“Proms are specialnights and it all starts with the dress,” said McGaughey, who noted prom dress  prices will begin at $15.</p>
<p>According to McGaughey, they will begin accepting donations of previously worn and gently-used prom dresses on Friday, February 10th at The Fair Tide Thrift Store at 15 State Road in Kittery between 10 am and 5 pm, Monday through Saturday.</p>
<p>“This is really a fun event and a great way to help a girl’s dreams come true,” she said.</p>
<p>The Second Annual Prom Dress Revival will take place at The Fair Tide Thrift Store at 15 State Road in Kittery on Saturday, March 17th from 11 am to 5 pm.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;">Kittery, Maine—January 17, 2012—With significant support from the community, Fair Tide, a nonprofit transitional housing program in Kittery, distributed more than 175 winter jackets to local residents in need this past holiday season. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">According to Barbara McGaughey, Fair Tide’s director of social entrepreneurship, coats were directly donated by local residents and were collected at several businesses and organizations, including Kittery’s Barbour Warehouse Store and the Knights of Columbus. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Jackets were then distributed to 17 families served by Fair Tide in Kittery and Rochester, 16 students apiece at Kittery’s Horace-Mitchell Primary School and R.W. Traip Academy, and 30 students at Shapleigh Middle School. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">“So many people support Fair Tide through our Thrift Store that it’s nice to be able to give back to a community that has done so much for us,” said McGaughey. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">According to R.W. Traip Academy School Nurse Betsy Burke, it is Fair Tide itself “that has given back so much.” </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">“As a school nurse, I’m extremely grateful to be able to call Fair Tide any time we have a need like this in the community, because we really do have families struggling,” said Burke, who noted Fair Tide has helped Kittery schools before on many occasions. “I’m not sure who I’d call if it wasn’t for Fair Tide.”</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Providing transitional housing for homeless individuals and families, Fair Tide addresses the factors that lead to homelessness and helps people develop specific competencies research shows will more effectively lead to stable, permanent housing.<br />
