Over the past 5 years Fair Tide volunteer, Connie Alesse, has quietly and expertly organized the Fair Tide thrift store book selection.  Connie says, “I am a big reader and organizing is my passion.”  Adding to that skill set is Connie’s Master’s Degree in Library Science.  She knows what it takes to make a library accessible and enriching.

Connie’s efforts have made the thrift store “book room” a perfect place to browse or take a quiet break.  She helps to make this space “reader friendly”, especially while your shopping partner is still shopping wink. Connie wants customers to know that Fair Tide has books for everyone; from travel, cooking, fiction, nonfiction, and DIY to young adult and children’s books.  With summer approaching we can all find a good read in “library of books” at Fair Tide.

Fair Tide book sales have doubled in the time Connie has been volunteering.  This increase in sales directly reflects her weekly commitment.  Thank you, Connie, for your expert help and dedication to Fair Tide!
