A Resident’s Story: Samantha

My name is Samantha. Prior to Fair Tide, I was living in transitional living out of a shelter. I have bounced around between shelters and being homeless for years. It hasn’t been fun, and Fair Tide is the first place ever that actually helped me get on my feet.

I had actually just stumbled upon Fair Tide by accident, at a time where my lease was running up, and I was scared I was going to be living nowhere again. Fair Tide saved me. I literally thought it was a sign.

From the moment I moved in, my case manager made me feel at home. Instantly. Fair Tide worked with me while I kept switching jobs until I finally found a career I love, working with children who have gotten themselves into a predicament and need help or assistance.

Fair Tide helped me save money for the first time. I never was able to make a budget work. Ever. Fair Tide actually gave me the support and the push to start one, and little by little, now I actually have money saved!

Fair Tide literally helped me get back on track on where i’m supposed to be in life. I really hope others benefit the way I did. I’ve never been proud of myself but for the first time in my life I am!!!
